Maiku Jaku
Acer Japonicum "Maiku Jaku"
Maiku Jaku is a wonderful rare tree with a very large, deeply dissected leaves. Maiku Jaku is known for its beautiful red flowers. It has particular value in tropical, Japanese and exotic gardens, but stands on its own in any setting. Maiku Jaku is known in Japan as “reputedly more cold hardy that other Acer japonicum and Acer palmatum. Summer color is a deep green and fall color is a long lasting red flames. It flowers showy maroon and white with maroon red seeds. It growth habit is upright and open strongly branches. This tree will grow approximately 10 feet in ten years height in 30 year is up to 20 feet. This tree is also known as "Dancing Peacock","Fern Leaf Maple", or "Aconitifolium".
