Filigree
Filigree is a small pendulous dissectum that has outstanding spring color and a interesting leaf structure. The lobes are more finely dissected than most lace leafs. ‘Filigree’ or ‘Green Filigree’ as it is sometimes called is a highly sought after tree that is not always readily available in the nursery trade. This cultivar is sure to awe you in the spring with its two toned variegation. The boarder to the leaf is a bright yellow to lime green with bright vein of lush green. Eventually as the summer begins the entire leaf is taken over by the lush green coloration making a truly beautiful green dissectum. The shape is cascading and similar to that of an open umbrella. In the autumn ‘Filigree’ turns an amazing array of deep yellow and gold. The growth pattern is slightly wider than it is tall and 4-6 feet over time. The small size lends ‘Filigree’ well to container growing for porches or patios. The early spring colors perform best when placed in filtered afternoon light. ‘Filigree’ is a very fancy cultivar that is sure to be one of your favorite additions the garden.
