Murasaki kiyohime
Acer palmatum 'Murasaki kiyohime'
‘Murasaki kiyohime’ has a very dramatic spring color. The small leaf shows a vivid purple boarder divided by a green center. ‘Murasaki kiyohime’ grows in a globe-like habit and stays low to the ground. This cultivar can grow wider than it does tall and typically does not ever get bigger than 4 feet. The small size and shape make it a favorite for bonsai enthusiast.
